Kazumi opened the door when Chelsey knocked, "Come on in." Kazumi said to her new friend. <Who is that?> Her grandmother asked from the kitchen in Korean. <Just a friend from school.> Kazumi said back.

Raising her arm to tap the door gently, Chelsey was more than a little nervous. She bit her lip, taking a step back and looking at the floor, tapping the tip of her shoe against the carpet. It didn't take long for Kazumi to open the door, and Chelsey smiled and stepped inside, taking off her shoes and looking around at all the pictures.
Hearing Korean, Chelsey turned around, rather startled. Kazumi has a strong British accent, and Chelsey was quite amazed - and impressed - that she spoke Korean as well.

"Come on, my Grandma is going to want to meet you." Kazumi said. She walked past the stairs and into the small kitchen. <Grandmother, this is Chelsey. She's a friend from school.> "Chelsy this is my grandmother." Kazumi's grandmother bore a strong and striking resemblance to her grandchild. She was also small, with gray hair in a bun. <Good to meet you Chelsey.> Kazumi's grandmother said. <Will you be staying for dinner?> she asked. Kazumi relayed her question.

Chelsey smiled a little bit towards Kazumi's grandmother, lowering her head a little. "Its nice to meet you as well, Misses... Lee?" She looked questioningly to Kazumi, not knowing if they both shared the same last name. Her face grew a bit red, she didn't want to embarrass herself in front of Kazumi's parents, but she may have just done that anyways.

Kazumi's grandmother smiled. <Just call me Grandmother.> "Call her halmeoni." Kazumi said. <Thanks for Dinner Grandmother.> "Come on, I''ll show you my room." Kazumi said, backtracking her way back to the stairs and up to her room. It was small, it was decorated with a strange array of military posters, music posters, and pictures of Prince Harry. A drum set sat in a corner with an electric guitar.
OOC: halmeoni is korean for Grandmother.

Chelsey sounded the word out quietly, a slightly puzzled look on her face, making a mental note to look it up online as she followed Kazumi up the stairs and into her room. As she stepped through the doorway, she looked around, Smiling a bit as she saw some of the posters. Her eyes lit up even more as she saw the electric guitar on its stand. Slowly making her way over it, she looked at Kazumi for permission before slowly picking up the guitar, sliding the strap over her head and quietly strumming a few chords, quietly as it wasn't plugged in.

Kazumi sat down at the drums. She picked up her drum sticks. "You like to pay the guitar?" She asked.

Chelsey, looked over at Kazumi, blushing a little. "Uh, yeah, I mean, kinda. I took lessons for a year. Do you have an amp?" She asked, almost stumbling over it as she looked around. Her blush deepening, she clicked it on and carefully plugged in the cords. "How long hand you played the drums?" She asked, turning to look at Kazumi as she sat down.

"When I was little, I liked hitting on things and never really grew out of it. When I was around seven my parents started to send me to lessons and things snowballed from there. Now, I can't imagine life without drums." She said. She began tapping the drums lightly in time with Chelsey. "You know any songs?" Kazumi asked.

Nodding her head a little and tapping her foot, she started off on a quiet little solo, before stopping the music abruptly by clamping her right hand over the strings as she listened to Kazumi's words. Thinking a bit, she closed her eyes and sighed. "Um... Don't Fear the Reaper? Blue Oyster Cult?" She asked, wondering if they had nearly the same taste as music.
